Intimate Frustrations is a series of collaborative site-specific performances in response to a natural, rural environment. My collaborator, Regin Igloria, and I engage in repetitive, futile actions in close proximity to each another. We mindfully struggle against the flow of a stream, the buzzing of insects, and the inertia of hay bales and our own bodies. These performances reference the simultaneous beauty and conflict in human-human and human-environment relationships.
